Attorney Jeremy Shephard was on a panel titled, “Current Mortgage Issues in Chapter 13 and Chapter 7”. Attorney Shephard focused his portion of the panel on assorted 3002.1 issues. Attorney Johnson-Ellis was on a panel titled, “I Want to Sell Your Home!!” This panel focused on consumer bankruptcy cases involving real estate matters. Real estate matters involving: bankruptcy exemptions, the hot real estate market, appreciation in conversion cases, and other hot topics were covered by the panelists.
The seminar was a great opportunity for the Western District of Michigan bankruptcy community to reconnect after limited opportunities during the pandemic.
